DON’T WANT A traditional wedding cake?

A lot of our couples don’t want the traditional wedding cake or they only want a small cutting cake but want something different for their guests.

There are many alternatives to a traditional wedding cake that couples can consider to add a unique touch to their celebration. Here are some popular alternatives:

  1. Cupcake Tower: Create a tower of cupcakes with various flavors and decorations. This allows guests to choose their favorite flavors and can be more convenient for serving. And easier to pack up the leftovers! (TIP- ask your baker to leave boxes for both the cupcakes and your cake)

  2. Dessert Bar: Set up a dessert bar with an assortment of sweet treats such as cookies, brownies, macarons, cake pops, or mini pies. This offers guests a variety of options to satisfy their sweet tooth.

  3. Donut Wall: Decorate a wall with pegs or hooks to hang donuts from. (we have a wall and lucite stands) This not only serves as a delicious dessert but also adds a fun and decorative element to the reception.

  4. Ice Cream Sundae Bar or Ice Cream Truck: Either rent a soft serve ice cream machine and set up a DIY ice cream sundae station with different flavors of ice cream, toppings, sauces, and whipped cream.

Or have an Ice Cream food truck to show up after dinner. Your guests will love it!

  5. Cheese Wheel Cake: For a savory option, create a "cake" using wheels of cheese stacked on top of each other. Serve with crackers, fruits, and jams for a delicious cheese tasting experience.

  6. Pie Buffet: Offer a selection of pies in various flavors such as apple, cherry, pecan, and pumpkin. This cozy and nostalgic option is perfect for a rustic or fall-themed wedding.

  7. Dessert Shots: Serve miniature desserts in shot glasses or small cups, such as tiramisu, cheese cake, mousse, trifle, or pudding. These single-serving treats are easy to eat and can be beautifully displayed.

  8. Candy Buffet: Create a candy buffet with jars filled with an assortment of candies and chocolates. Guests can fill up bags with their favorite sweets to enjoy during the reception or take home as favors.

OR another fun idea is wrap up her candy favorites and his candy favorites - tell your guest to choose! At the end of the night you will see who agreed with the bride or the groom!

  9. Crepe Station: Hire a crepe chef to prepare made-to-order sweet and savory crepes for guests. This interactive option adds a touch of elegance and sophistication to the dessert offerings.

  10. Fruit Display: Arrange a beautiful fruit display with a variety of fresh fruits such as strawberries, grapes, melons, and pineapple. Serve with yogurt dip or chocolate fondue for dipping.

  11. Cookie Bar: This is especially popular with our Pittsburg and Youngstown couples - all kinds of cookies and “to go” boxes to take them home with! Or beautifully iced cookies in your chosen designs, colors, monograms.
